I never thought I would be a therapist. I found this profession by going through my own personal pain and struggles. These included depression, debilitating social anxiety, general anxiety and a life changing existential crisis. Through the help of some amazing people, I found my way out and I now have a passion to help others. I believe that the most powerful therapeutic relationship is human to human. Yes, I am a licensed professional, but more importantly I am another human being that has been in the shit. I will always wear this on my sleeve, as this is the sole reason that I became a counselor. I currently reside in North Texas with my wife and two kids. Click the tab below to watch a video with my full story.
I am trained in EMDR and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). I believe in the mind/body connection and that it is essential to address both aspects to experience lasting change. I use Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), mindfulness and other somatic modalities that address both the cognitive and limbic parts of the brain. See the videos below to watch informative videos on the modalities that are listed above.
I utilize an eclectic approach that draws from Rationale Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) and Existential Therapy. I believe in the power of experiences. The experiences that we have in life ultimately form our beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. When working towards growth it is important that one investigates their experiences and the beliefs that were gained. As these beliefs dictate our emotional state and the decisions we make daily.
I also believe that is essential to find meaning and purpose in our lives. A large part of finding peace and contentment comes from reaching an understanding of ourselves and our purpose in this world. My Goal as a counselor is to provide the environment and foundation for you to grow, learn, heal and thrive as a person.

Individual 90 min session is $ 125.00
Ketamine (KAP) 3 hr session is 195.00
I do not currently take insurance so my goal is to provide affordable service for my clients. My KAP pricing is reduced because I understand how the hours can add up and become very expensive. I also understand that the research shows that having consistency with the medication, especially starting out is extremely beneficial. Please see the videos below for more information on Ketamine Therapy and EMDR.
I offer in person and virtual sessions
I work with with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, spiritual crisis, self esteem issues, trauma, grief, addiction, burnout, suicidal ideation and relationship issues.
Ketamine in low-doses is a very safe medication. Ketamine was FDA approved in 1970 as a dissociative anesthetic and procedural sedative. It was considered a novel drug as it was the only general anesthetic that did not lower blood pressure or reduce respiratory drive. In 1985 it was added to the World Health Organizations list of essential medicines. There have been thousands of papers published in the last 15 years on ketamine and the benefits for depression. The research shows immediate antidepressant effects on day 1 and the benefits last for weeks. While traditional antidepressants still have their place, they can take weeks to months to reach their full desired effect and do not give meaningful benefit to 1/3 of users that take them. For more information see the Meta-Analysis on 24 different clinical trials. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7704936/
The most common side effects of ketamine are a slight increase in blood pressure and heart rate. These do not last long. Your vitals signs will be monitored before and after the session to ensure they are within appropriate ranges. Other side affects are mild dizziness and nausea for a small population of people. Your clinician can prescribe an antiemetic that is taken prior to the session if there are concerns about nausea.
I use a collaborative care model through Journey Clinical. In this model Journey Clinical handles the medical side and I take care of the therapy portion. I refer the client to Journey and an appointment with a clinician (M.D. or P.M.H.M.P) will be scheduled. In this appointment the medical professional will decide eligibility, provide evaluation, treatment plan, prescription and will monitor outcomes. The prescription is sent directly to the client and brought to the counseling office for the session. Journey Clinical prescribes ketamine in sublingual lozenge form that is held and absorbed through the mouth. While there is a plethora of research on depression, there is a good amount of research that shows the benefits for anxiety, trauma (PTSD), and addiction among other issues.
Over 30 published randomly controlled trails on PTSD alone. The research show that this modality helps a high percentage of people reprocess the events that are causing depression, anxiety, depression and other disorders.
